general supervisor - building construction (NOC 72013)
Responsibilities:
- Recommend measures to improve productivity
- Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
- Estimate costs and materials
- Oversee apprenticeship training
- Prepare production and other reports
- Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Establish methods to meet work schedules
- Read blueprints and drawings
- Requisition materials and supplies
- Supervise workers and projects
- Train or arrange for training
Job Details:
- Employment Type: Full-time, year-round
- Pay: Starting at $32.00 per hour
- Work Hours: 30-40 hours per week
- Overtime: 1.5 times the regular rate for hours worked over 8 hours per day and 44 hours per week.
- Vacation Pay: 4% of base wages
- Vacation: Two weeks of paid vacation per year
Requirements:
- At least 3 year of construction experience or related experience.
- Good team working, heavy workload, work in tight deadline and be able to work outside.
- Ability to work efficiently and with attention to detail.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
