Job Description

We are currently hiring a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to assist an adult client in their personal and daily living needs at their residence in Markham, Ontario. The role is ideal for someone with a background in personal care who is willing to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and early mornings. Staff accommodation is provided.

💵 Wage: $23.00per hour, 40 hours per week

Job Requirements

Languages:

• English

Education:

• College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate/diploma (3 months to less than 1 year)

• Or equivalent experience

Experience:

• 1 year to less than 2 years

Credentials:

• Personal Support Worker Certificate

• Health Care Aide Certificate

Work Setting & Conditions

• On-site, in the employer's/client's home

• Staff accommodation provided

• Willingness to relocate (relocation costs not covered by the employer)

Physical Capabilities & Conditions:

• Bending, crouching, kneeling

• Standing for extended periods

• Physically demanding (handling between 61–80 kg)

Responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care

• Administer medications

• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene

• Assist in regular exercises (e.g., walking)

• Change non-sterile dressings

• Feed or assist in feeding

• Launder and mend clothing/linens

• Light housekeeping duties

• Plan therapeutic diets and prepare nutritious meals

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Shop for food and supplies
