Job Title: Youth Services Worker (NOC: 42201)

Employer: Inside Out Care Corporation

Location: 5155 Argyle St. Port Alberni, BC, V9Y 1V3 

Salary: $31-40 per hour for 40 hours a week

Vacancy: 4 vacancies

Employment groups to include: persons with disabilities, indigenous, newcomers to Canada, student, and vulnerable youth, refugees

Terms of employment: Term or contract/ full time

Start Date: as soon as possible

 

Job Requirements:

Languages

·       English

Education

·       College certificate or diploma.

Experience

·       At least 1-2 years of work experience as youth services worker or any related field.

 

Duties:

·       Prepare reports or case histories

·       Supervise activities of clients living in group homes

·       Accompany clients to appointments and social outings.

·       Assess client’s relevant skills strengths and needs.

·       Housekeeping

·       Resolve conflict situations

·       Food preparation

 

Work Conditions

·       Repetitive tasks, Work under pressure, Overtime maybe required

 

Physical Capabilities:

·       Must be physically and emotionally fit

·       Must have valid driver's license

·       Must be 21 years or older

 

Work Setting

·       Group Home

 

Qualities:

·       We are looking for someone who takes initiative, is organized, flexible, reliable, client-focused and a team player.

·       We need someone with excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Patient, independent, resourceful

 

Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.)

·       Valid Class 5 Driver’s license

·       First Aid/CPR
